Sponsoring parents after becoming a pr

Hi guys,

If a person became a pr from Spouse sponsorship, would this person can sponsor her/his parents?
I know you CAN'T sponsor another spouse for 5 years after becoming PR, but would this apply to parents as well?

You can apply immediately (when program opens next January), as long as you and your co-signer (spouse) can show combined Canadian income meeting LICO for your family size, for past 3 consecutive years.

so you are saying it is absolutely okay to process parents sponsorship right after even though i just became a PR with spouse sponsorship?
