Hello, I have been living in Canada about 10 years. I will be getting my PR soon. After I get my PR, I want to bring my brothers here. What would be the best way to bring them here? Main problem is, they are little old. 36 and 37 years old.

I make around 40-45k year. Have a good degree from school as well.

My brothers both university grad (4 year) with good English. One of them actually speaks better than me. They have work experience as well, but most people told me 3rd world country work experience doesn't really count and they don't fit for a niche market.

After I get my PR, my original plan was to sponsor one of them and bring the other one for Masters with study permit. Then post grad and so on. I don't have any other relatives in Canada. Both my parents still alive, but they are living on my home country. My brothers and I are all single as well. If it does help we can gather some money as well. We are not rich but we have some assets, that we can sell.

What would be best solution to move them in to Canada?

Since your parents are alive, you can’t sponsor your brothers. If you could, you can only sponsor one, not both.

Option 2: other relative
You may sponsor one relative, related by blood or adoption, of any age if you meet all of the conditions, including:

  • you don't have a living relative you could sponsor instead, such as a:
    • spouse
    • common-law partner
    • conjugal partner
    • son or daughter
    • parent
    • grandparent
    • brother or sister
    • uncle or aunt
    • nephew or niece
  • you don’t have any of the above-named relatives who is:
    • a Canadian citizen
    • a permanent resident
    • registered Indian under the Indian Act
If the relative you want to sponsor has a spouse, partner, or dependent children who will come with them to Canada you must include them on the same sponsorship application.

There is a program already available for sponsoring parents, so that is what you're expected to do. While your parents are still alive, you are ineligible to sponsor your brothers.

Your brothers will need to research to see if they qualify for one of the current immigration streams to Canada (i.e. Express Entry, Provincial Nominee, etc). This is their only option to immigrate here.
