I am an Indian citizen and have my PR application is under process with non-accompanying spouse (Indian Citizen) and 1-year-old child (US citizen).

I want to sponsor my family after I reach Canada. Few questions about the same -
1. What is the process to sponsor them both? How long does the process take?
2. Can I start the process as soon as I reach Canada? Are there any pre-requisites?
3. While sponsorship is in progress, can I travel outside of Canada?

1. All you need to know is in this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5525ETOC.asp
2. You can start the process for sponsoring your spouse and dependent child immediately. No prerequisites.
3. Only for short trips, for example, one or two weeks may be OK. If more, you will be risking your sponsorship application.
As for processing time, each case is unique and different. However, be prepared to be separated from your spouse and child for about 1 year.
Good luck!
