sponsoring my Wife... Please need ur advice

Hello Group,

I would be getting married in a couple of months and would like to sponsor my wife... Please do advice me of whats the best way to sponsor her.

I have stayed in Canada for 5 years and have applied for PR under CEC. Received my PR recently. yet to do the landing. Most likely I will get married before I do the landing with COPR.

Wondering what would be the best way to sponsor my wife. Also please let me know what is the salary requirement

The best way to sponser your wife is through "family/spousal sponsership" program. The whole kit can be found at the CIC website.

When you have a PR, you must sponser your wife from Canada.

Salary requirements depends, must be able to support your wife for her basic needs. (Holding a decent job is sufficent)

Salary differs, in Quebec you don't need to show salary.

The devil is in the details. If he marries her before he lands as planned - he can never sponsor her.

Yupp, it would definitely be best to land first and then think about marrying and sponsoring her.
