Hi All I m about to send PR sponsorship application forms along with the forms completed by wife. I am sponsoring ONLY my spouse who is in India. She has ae has a question in IMM 0008 Generic form:

Page 2: Details of Family Members:

The form says: You must include your spouse or common law partner, if applicable and all of your dependent children and those of your spouse or common law partner, who are not already PR or citizens of canada.

My question: Does she need to write "NOT APPLICABLE" here? or she needs to include my Information? (I am PR holder sponsoring for my spouse)

Background: It is first marriage for both of us and we dont have any kids.

We are bit confused. Please help soon so that I can send the file immediately.

Thanks and best wishes

V

It says who are not PR... and you are so she would not list you.
Not applicable is correct.

Thanks Can_USA 97 for the confirmation. Appreciate it.

Can you please confirm what is the CLIENT ID in the receipt I was asked to fill upon PAYMENT OF 1040 $? (I received an email from CIC asking me to fill my information-payer information). I m sort of confused with the Client ID. Is it my PR number?

Thanks in advance for your help

Best wishes

I personally did not have a client ID when I did my receipt for the 1040 (err,in my husbands name). I was under the impression that it gets created later. However, my husband is a citizen by birth ... perhaps someone else will come along with advice.

Your client ID should be on your PR card. If you (the sponsor) paid, I think they want your client ID. Otherwise they want your wife's ID. The ID is like 1234-6789 (8 digits with a hyphen in the middle). You should only have one client ID per person for life. Any visitor records, visas, applications, etc., should all have the same number. Note this:

"If you already know the Client ID assigned to you, enter the number in the box provided. If you do not know your Client ID, leave that box empty."

If you don't have one yet or don't know yours, it's fine to leave it blank. They will match you up using your name and date of birth.

Yes, that is your lifelong client ID. See a description here: http://immipedia.ca/CID
