Sponsoring my spouse for PR from within Canada- need IMM 5540?

Hi,

I am a born Canadian citizen, sponsoring my wife for PR from within Canada.
I noticed that the form IMM 5540 is required to apply for sponsorship of a spouse for Permanent Residency.
However, this form is not listed on the Document Checklist (IMM 5443).

My question is; as a sponsor for my wife's permanent residency application from within Canada, do I need to complete this form, or not?

Checking the site, it states:

Use this application if:

you are the spouse or common-law partner of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident,
you want to apply for permanent residence and
both you and the sponsor live in Canada.
If you do not live in Canada, DO NOT use this form.

If all of that applies, you just follow the document list.
