I have applied my parents to live in canada on Augst 2007. I have enough income for sponsoring for 2006,2007,2008. but I don't have enough income for 2009. Will I still good enough to sponsor my parents? Thank you.

usually it's the last year that matters - the year when they start processing your sponsorship application.

No, they will look at your most recent income.

If that is the case, what will happen if evanchen23 doesn't fill tax until his/her sponsorship is reviewed? Then cic will use the 2008's tax data, right?

I also submitted a sponsorship for my father with his son (12 yrs old, my stepbrother) in July 2007.
I still haven't heard anything until today, January 5th, 2009.

Really anxious to hear anything, I know I meet the income level but HOW to they get my current income information? The papers I sent them was from 2006.
Will they request for updated information?

I've been checking the online status but still nothing.

Hamilton, Ontario

they can contact Revenue Canada for the update.
