Sponsoring my husband from Pakistan! Guidance Needed!

Ive read through a lot of the threads on this forum and figured i need some help with this application. My husband and I are super new to all of this, any help or advice would so much appreciated. In short, we just got married in March of 2017 and I am still in the process of getting all my papers together. I am born and raised in Toronto, and hubby is from Pakistan.

Its now June 2017 and I am still making my package. So its been three months so far, is it normal that i have not submitted anything yet?! I just want to make sure that everything is set and entered correctly.

Any tips on filling out forms? I noticed there was a form on which i need to enter the dates i travelled. Did anyone else fill this form? It says to put in travel history from the past 10 years and I have travelled to the USA atleast a hundred times.

Any advice or guidance is soooooooo much apprecitaed. God bless xo

Yes, it´s normal, it´s a lot and it takes long to prepare everything !

I don´t remember now about the travel history, but if they ask you, you have to put EVERYTHING, every and each time. You can complete the same form only in that section, as much as you need and leave blank everything else. What's the name of the form anyway ?? Are you pplying for the Open Work Permit as well ?

start with the checklist. make a list on a paper of all the documents the sponsor and the applicant needs. then, start gathering those. cross them off once complete. then, go through all your forms. start filling them in writing. then type them out. highlight the sections that you still need to fill. give those to your hubby to start gathering that info. for your relationship proof, FB status, whatsapp chat (I printed double sided, small font, so i could atleast get 2 to 3 weeks worth of chat in there), along with call log (whatsapp, direct calls, skype, etc).

Pictures - I send them 20 (the most difficult decision of my life to choose 20 picx in total of mehndi, shahdi, rukhsakti, nikkah, walima, honeymoon, trips, visits..... ufffffffffff). Then they still ended up asking additional 20 picx. i ended up now sending them 30 more picx. I would suggest you send them atleast 30 to 50 if you want. Just so that they dont end up asking you later. write in detail what is happening in the picture, with few names and relationships of people in the picture.

Once the package is done, review for all signatures. Sch A and police certificate are not to be sent, but it doesn't hurt. I know people who sent them directly. If you want to send them with the package, make sure Sch A is hand signed. Now, for the signature, they need to be original. So dont get your hubby to scan them to you. Courier please! trust me, otherwise, they will send it back to you.

Courier your package. DO NOT SEND IT BY NORMAL MAIL TO THE POBOX address!! I used purolator and next day service to be dropped off by 1030am. they got it at 830am actually (spend a little extra money for a peace of mind). I signed up for this text messaging (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/text-pilot.asp) and by 11pm i got a text message saying that they received it. Yes, the tracking tells you they received it as well, but the text message is coming from someone live from within the CIC office who actually opened your package, ready to be reviewed by someone in a months time.

Anything i missed? lol.

OMG thank you SO MUCH! you know what i figured the same with the pics, i have way more than 20- i was having touble exporting my call log and also my facebook convo, how did you do it?

Also, some of the comments on facebook that i printed were in urdu, should i translate?

Some pics have so many people in, i just labeled the people who more to front, is that okay?

I have the travel history form, i know its for my hubby sepcifically, but do i fill it out too?

Whatsapp is easy to export .. email it .. there is an option .. open it in word .. translate all in english .. thats the new requirement as per the checklist ..

Facebook .. print it as pdf .. and then print ..

Comment on fb .. u shud as per the new requirment

Ur on the right path of labelin the picx ..

Travel needs to be filled out by both .. PA fills it but look at the bottom, spouse needs to fill too ..thats u .. if u hv a lot .. print more forms and fill in ur section .. this form cant be saved with the info typed in, so print it ..
