Sponsoring child outside canada

Hi Experts,

I sent my child's sponsorship file to CPC Mississauga in June, and I received the file number and the medical request for my child. I have done all of that..

I got an email today about the background declaration form, but there is no form attached to the email, do you know if I've to

1. download a form from CIC website and fill the form and send it to them?
2. I am unable to "link the application" of my child to my online account. Can anyone help with that?
3. How long it may take for PR, after all these documents are completed, medical done, and background form submitted... 2-3 months? or more, or less?


please advise.

Hi Prateek

I am in same boat. I applied for my daughter sponsorship and application was received by CIC, Mississauga on 4th July 2017. However, the acknowledgement mail was sent on 9th Aug. Not sure, how much time it takes to sent the file to NDVO and receiving the acknowledgement from NDVO.

I need to apply for my daughter TRV based on the application number from NDVO.

Any Idea?
