Other family in Canada? Just verifying that your parents are deceased.Hi,
I would like to sponsor my sister (age 43 and single) under 'other relative or lonely Canadian program.' Is this still valid.
I am 44 years old , single with no partner or children. No parents or grand-parents either.
Then you should qualify. And I have no relatives in Canada.
So you are in a relationship. Have you lived with this person for 1 year?Awesome thank you for replying. 1 more question, what would the implications be if the sponsor gets married while the application is in process?
I don't think you can get married while the application is in progress. Almost sounds like a loop hole of this route... sigh.Awesome thank you for replying. 1 more question, what would the implications be if the sponsor gets married while the application is in process?
If you get married or become common-law during the process, you will no longer qualify and the app will be refused. No, I have not but we are planning to get married
Thank you so much for the reply... not what I wanted to hear but it is what it isIf you get married or become common-law during the process, you will no longer qualify and the app will be refused.
As others have said, you can't get married while sponsoring a sibling. You would have to wait and get married after your sibling is a PR. Note that sibling sponsorship typically takes a couple of years. The processing times aren't as fast as for spouses.Thank you so much for the reply... not what I wanted to hear but it is what it is
