My wife and I have PR status in 10-Apr-2010. Going back to INDIA on -9-May-2011 after 1 Year.
I got Twins babyboy, Our babies' birth place is INDIA on 09-Feb-2012. Now our plan to going to CANADA back with kids.

Can I sponsor my kids form India or I have to go Canada first than start process.

It is hard to leave my family in this condition, So We want to take them with us to Canada.

Please give me guidance about that and describe process if possible.

Thanks a lot

Vishal

I think if you want to take your babies, you might have to get visitor visa. If you get visitor visa then you can apply for PR for them from Canada either Inland or Outland.
I am not sure whether there any other visa category for new born babies. Other senior members can help.

If your babies are to be taken with you to Canada then you need to apply for visitor visa for them.
One entry on visitor status will be up to six months only. The sponsorship process will take about one year for the children. Therefore being the parents are landed immigrants of Canada you can request for extended period on compassionate ground. While applying for visa check with your Canadian embassy about how to apply on compassionate grounds. If permitted your children can remain in Canada for a longer period till their status is regularized.

The other option is your wife remain with the children in India till their sponsorship is approved. You should submit the out land sponsorship application but must be present in Canada while the application is in process and visas issued.

Just so you know, there are no "inland" sponsorship for dependents. Only "outland" sponsorship. They may be able to bring their kids to Canada on a TRV but if they are denied TRV, then one of the PR parent will have to move to Canada and start sponsorship while the other PR parent remain behind in India with the newborns.

well first thing you and your wife are at present in india or canada. If you both are in india then you have to check if you can renew your PR or not. As i can understand your PR is at risk.

For sponsoring one of you must stay in canada and apply for sponsorship. I think it should be better if you come to canada for sponsorship.

Another thing child applications cant be done inland. they should be outland. If you are coming alone and sponsoring your wifes PR is at risk. it would be better if your relatives take care of your children and both of you reach canada befre your PR expiry and take new PR start process.

Hi Biswas,
1. one of you must remain in canada
2. Do upfront medicals to your kid
3. fill forms
4. pay fees
5. send application to missisauga
6. send passport when asked
7. wait infinitely for visa stamp on passport

with NDVO nothing is predictable sorrry with cic nothing is predictable. it can be in 2 months to year for all process to finish

Being PRs outside Canada does put some risk in their PR status depending on how long they were outside Canada. It really depends on the timing of how much is left of their residency requirements is left before they jeopardize their status. So with one PR parent back in India, it can put risk on the one lone PR awaiting children's PR.

If OP has little time left of the residency requirement that he is forced to go back to Canada to maintain it, they may have no choice but to leave children with relatives in India and both go to Canada and start their paperwork.

CIC may ask them to do DNA tests on the children to make sure they are in fact their children. CIC usually ask for children DNA tests when both parents left their children behind and start dependent PR papers.

out of 5 years OP stayed in canada for one year. 2.9 months until now op stayed in india. remaining days for him are 1 year 3 months after which renewal of PR is not possible until he completes another 9 months.

this was the same calculation i did before applying for my child. Now i have another doubt. we also in same situation sponsoring my child.
we left our child with grandmother and sponsred after moving back to canada in august 2013. sponsor ship was approved,PPr came adn we sent pp to ndvo. asked some documentation which was provided. Should we expect dna test now

Do the DNA test only when CIC ask for it. Don't want to waste your money if CiC doesn't ask for it.
