Sponsored empolyment

I am going to sponsor my husband. I am in Canada ( Canadian citizen)and he is in US (illegal) If he is not working in US its going to be issue. I have two kids from my previous marriage . I am in welfare. Once I will start process I will be not on welfare. Also , do he has to show he is self employ or he is working....
Please , need advice

He doesn't have to show he is workng. The problem is, if you are on welfare and go off it immediately before you sponsor your husband, that won't bode well for you. You will have to show that you are off welfare AND that you have the means to support your family and sponsored husband. If you only just took yourself off welfare, the VO may not be satisfied that you can support everyone.

Thanks for your reply. well after I will off on welfare I will sponsor him.
But I am just concern about future , How if my husband will show that he is self employ and making good money (with proof) and He will support himself and his future family (me and my kids )?

He can show papers from his business. He should have something showing how much he pays himself every 2 weeks. He can show savings in his account. Also, if you're married now and still on welfare, they may be concerned about why he isn't taking care of his family now if he is making such good money.

You should be off of welfare for a bit of time before u sponsor him. Don't go off of it and the next week file to sponsor him. Show proof that you've been off of it and supporting yourself before you submit the application.
