Hi
I am in process of sponsoring my spouse. For my country it is expected to take about 4 years for this to complete. This timeline works well for us and during this time I will be out of Canada to complete my studies. However, a few people from the same country have mentioned that their process only took under 1 year (completed in near past so is recent). If that were to happen, we may decide to not come at that time - this will practically end the sponsorship. I know that I will lose fees and will have to apply again. Can someone with experience tell me if this could result in any issue for hypothetically re-applying? Is there any such rule that once a sponsorship was forfeited by not coming to Canada can one re-apply?
If you are aware of any documentation online then it would be better ...
THANKS
