I have been in Canada for the last 4 years. I want to sponsor my brother. The only problem is my parent's last name isn’t on my passport, while my brother has it on his passport. I am wondering if it is an issue if I sponsor him in Canada?

Is he a minor?

Are both of your parents deceased?

Do you have any other family in Canada?

No he is not a minor
My mom is still alive but my dad passed away 6 years ago
I am living with my husband in Canada.

Can anyone help me with information that how can I apply for him that will be eligible for me? Thank you In advance!
You are married and your parent is still alive.

There is no immigration stream to sponsor an adult sibling.

The only possibility is a rare stream nickname "lonely Canadian" which means you have no one available to sponsor (children/spouse/parents/grandparents) nor is living/can live in Canada.

That's why other members ask you those questions.
So unless that's the special case, you CANNOT sponsor your adult sibling.

He has to qualify and apply on his own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry.

You cannot apply for him.
