1.When do you plan to return to Canada to resume residency?
The confusion is that we don't know because the answer is after the processing time is finished

2. Have you RESIDED in countries other than Canada?

My sponsor has been living here in the Philippines for over a year, he stays here as a visitor - tourist getting extensions every 2 month. His real home is in Canada. Is he considered a resident?

3. Has your spouse/partner met any of your close friends/family.
He has only met my brother in real but through Skype has met my sister too and others through Facebook Can they be added too? ie entering the date they became friends on Facebook? Some of them even sent letters of support.
ALSO, does he put relationship as BROTHER IN LAW for my brother? (we doing common law)

1. The sponsor can just choose a reasonable date, such as about nine months after you send in the application. He can then explain that he expects to go back to Canada when you get your PR visa. The visa officer will not expect him to go back on exactly that date.

2. For the immigration forms, he should put 'yes' - he has resided in other countries. Over a year stay will be considered as residing in the Philippines, even if he has been there the whole time on a tourist visa. Even if he tried to say 'no', with the reason being that he is still a resident of Canada and is just a tourist in the Philippines, the visa officer will see that he has been in the Philippines for more than a year and so will expect to see proof of his intent to return to Canada, no matter what he answers here.

3. He should only list the people he has met in real life. He can mention the others - either in the answer to this question, or elsewhere in the application - but should include the explanation that he has talked to others via Skype, or on the phone, and on Facebook, and has not actually met them yet.
