Hey guys :)

Could you kindly help me?

I applied to a Student Visa.
I'll be sponsored both my father and my uncle (Actually, he is my aunt's husband // the husband of the sister of my father)

I attached this form (one filled by my father and another filled by my uncle) in my application:
www . immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/studies/d09-a.pdf

I already submitted my application.

But now they sent me this message:

Code:
Dear MY FULL NAME,

This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. The following documents are required to
continue processing your application:

00000000 - MY FULL NAME:

> Client Information: Receipt of information from client EXPLANATION OF RELATIONSHIP
BETWEEN PRINCIPAL APPLICANT AND FINANCIAL SPONSOR (MY SPONSOR's NAME) This must be
received at this office by: 07/15/2013
As he isn't my uncle on-blood (He is my aunt's husband) is quite impossible to prove his relationship with me in only 5 days (need to translate many documents, etc..)

Anyway, I think they are only asking me to explain his relationship with me, since this information was not provided in the Financial Support Letter I had submitted.

If this was the case, could you guys send me a sample of letter to he sign declaring that he Is my uncle and i'll be my sponsor?
If so, send it to: coinbr @ gmail.com

Thank you very much for the help!

I would email to explain the relation, but also tell CIC you will get translated birth certificates for your aunt and your parent that is related to the aunt, plus a marriage certificate for your aunt and her husband - your uncle. That will provide sufficient proof. Make sure to send in the documents when they are ready.

Thank you for the reply =)

In the explanation letter, should I explain he isn't my blood-uncle?
I don't know if Canadians make difference between blood and non-blood uncles.

I was thinking to submit this letter signed by my uncle:
I hereby confirm that I, XXXXXXXXXX, am paternal uncle of Mr. XXXXXXXXXX and that I will financially support him during the entire period of her stay in Canada. This includes his travelling, lodging, tuition and all kinds of his expenses in Canada. He is intending to pursue her studies in Computer Science at the CEGEP John Abbott College.

I am a Brazilian citizen. I am contented to act as financial sponsor for my nephew whilst he stay in the Canada. Please refer to original documents attached including my income tax returns, and salary slips. These documents clearly show my financial stability and savings.

Sincerely,

____________________________________________________________________________
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
In addiction to this letter, I would also send another letter explaining that I couldn't translate all the documents on time, due to sworn translators over-demand and ask they do let me know if they need these documents and give me more time to translate them all.

Do you think it will work?

Thank you very much!!

Is the letter typed? If it's typed, that's fine. If its handwritten, he should write it in his own writing.

It's of my opinion that paternal uncle means son of your parent's father. Since he is your uncle by marriage, he wouldn't be a son of your grandparent, but an in-law. That's why you'll need the marriage certificate along with the other documents.

It's typed. He will only sign in the end.

So, in your opnion, should I write "uncle-in-law" or just "uncle"?

And, what if I write it this way:
I hereby confirm that Mr. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX is my nephew and I, XXXXXXXXXXXXX, will financially support him during the entire period of her stay in Canada.
in your opnion, what's the best way to write it?

Thank you very very much for your help =D

I would list him as "uncle by marriage" and briefly explain he is married to your mother/father's sister.

Thank you again ;)

Since my English level still unreliable, could you please confirm if the following letter is ok?

I XXXXXXXXXXXXXX hereby confirm that XXXXXXXXXXXX is my uncle by marriage and that he will financially support me during the entire period of my stay in Canada.

He, XXXXXXXXXXXXX, is married with XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, the sister of my father.

I tried to translate all the documents necessary to prove that he is my uncle. However it was impossible due to the over-demand for sworn translators.

If it is necessary to provide documents that prove our relationship, please, let me know and I will be submitting it as soon as I get it translated.

Sincerely,
