I have many questions about sponsoring my wife for PR.
I have already got my PR a month back on 31st January 2018. I was single when I applied for PR but now I am getting married this December and I want to sponser my wife for PR.

Questions:
1. While I have applied for my wife’s PR which usually take 10-12 months, can she get open work permit? If yes, how can see come to Canada(what kind of visa)? And how long the permit will be valid for?

2.Can I apply for open work permit and PR together?

3. What are the chances of her getting open work permit ?

4. How much fund do I need to show to apply for my wife’s PR?

Basically I want my wife to come to Canada as soon as possible after our marriage and be able to work while her PR file is in process. Please help me find the way to do it.

Any help would be appropriated.

1. I'm not sure how long it is valid for. Usually a reasonable amount of time. Results vary among applicants. She can come on a tourist visa and you can send the application while she is here.
2. Yes IRCC actually prefers it if you apply for PR and OWP at the same time.
3. Once you supply all the proper documentation you should be fine getting the OWP
4. For spouses and dependents there is no set amount of funds to be shown, you must just demonstrate that you do not receive social assistance for any reason other than disability.
