Hi everyone
This forum is very helpful but I still have a small question?

I want to sponsor my wife , our 2 dependent children are Canadians and they will accompany us to Canada so in the sponsorship application
should I include them or not? Do I need to show my financial situation , I have been living outside Canada for 10 yrs and I don't have much money?
will this affect my application?

Thanks everyone

You won't be sponsoring the children, as they are already Canadian citizens, obviously. They are included in the application only as members of your wife's family, along with you, not as applicants.

As you have been living outside Canada exclusively, you need to provide proof of your intent to re-establish yourself in Canada when your wife is granted PR. This is not merely a vague statement of intention, you have to show that you have concrete plans in place to return to Canada. So start thinking about everything you need to do on that score.

Spousal sponsorships are exempt from meeting minimum income requirements. You will need to establish that you are not in receipt of social assistance other than for reasons of disability, that you are not an undischarged bankrupt, and that you are willing and capable of providing for her basic needs without resorting to social assistance.
