I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer for anywhere.
I'm a Canadian Resident currently in England awaiting my first child. After the child is born me and my girlfriend plan to move back to Canada, where we met. My girlfriend is british so when we go back to Canada I have to sponsor her and my child.
From the time of gaining residency through sponsorship (as I did) there is now a 5 year waiting period before you can sponsor your spouse. So we must wait 2 years until I can sponsor my girlfriend.
My question is should I sponsor our child upon arrival? or should I wait the 2 years and then sponsor both under the same application.
Is there a 3 year waiting period between sponsoring family?
I know that you have to include all your family members in the application or you can't sponsor them in the future, but what if i have to wait the 2 years before it's possible.
