Sponsor my Brother from Italy

Hi,

My brother is Italian and he is 29 years old, I am a Permanent Resident and I'd like to sponsor him to come live in Canada. What's the best way to do so? If it can help my grand parents also live in Canada and are Citizen.

if you have family in canada and your parents are still alive (regardless of where they live), then more than likely you don't qualify to sponsor your brother and he will need to qualify for immigration through another stream.

generally, you can only sponsor a sibling if you are considered "Alone in canada" and your parents are no longer living. there is a hierarchy for family sponsorships and siblings are closer to the bottom of the list.

You have a spouse/partner in Canada and also grandparents in Canada. For this reason you cannot sponsor your brother. He will have to qualify to immigrate on his own.
