Hi all,

I would like to sponsor my mom to become a permanent resident under the family class.

I am a Canadian citizen, and I came back from HK in last August, and started working in last Nov.
Noted that I have to prove my income by showing tax return in the previous 3 years , what documents do I need to provide, and what are the requirements?
Does it mean that I will have to wait 3 years to sponsor her? Or I can apply to sponsor her now?

Many thanks!

CIC is doing lottery this year. Yes you have to show 3 years of NOA and must meet the income requirement.
Everything is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/sponsor-parents.asp

If you just started working in November, you probably don't qualify to sponsor your mom this year. If you and your spouse combined Canadian income doesn't meet requirements for 2013,2014,2015, don't bother applying this year.

If you have Canadian income meeting PGP Lico for 2017, 2018 and 2019, you can possibly apply to lottery to sponsor her in January 2021.
