I am presenting collecting the documents needed to sponsor my spouse from Russia to Canada. I will need some clarifications.
1) For the IMM 1344, since I am from Quebec, there are some questions that I don't have to answer at the sponsor eligibility section. Should I leave the boxes blank or write "N/A"?
2) At the end of the same form, IMM 1344, since the part II, the sponsorship agreement does not apply to those residing in Quebec, my spouse should not sign this form? If so, should I put "N/A" on the line that asks for my spouse's signature or leave it blank?
3) For the form IMM 5481, sponsor evaluation, it is stated on the checklist that people who intend to reside in Quebec need not to complete it. If I do not complete it, how can I show them that I can provide the necessary for my spouse when she will be here? There is no minimum income, I know. But I understand from the process described on CIC that I should still show some evidence that I will have the means to accomodate my spouse when she will be here and that she will not be needing Social Assistance. I am presently working and I have Option C printout for the last year showing I am not bankrupt. But CIC doesn't seem to need them on the checklist.
4) I contacted Ministère de l'immigration et des communautés culturelles of Quebec and they said that what they only need to verify about me for the spouse sponsorship is that I don't have unpaid alimony.
5) Can someone please make me a list of the documents I need to send to be approved as a sponsor please?
