My older brother applied to sponsor my mother and I back in January 2018, in august we received our AOR and just yesterday we received an email stating that he has been approved for sponsorship and that our application has been forwarded to Beirut, Lebanon which is where we live/are from.
My question is from what I read online the entire sponsorship is usually a very long process, usually around 2 years but it seems its like its going very fast for us! 10 months and our application is in Beirut already! Does this mean that our application is going by very quick or that we now have a very long wait?
From what I understand at this point we have a police clearance, medical test, and a final interview! Am I missing anything else or is that all? Does anyone have any idea how long these generally take?
I'm asking because I am trying to estimate the time my mother & I would need to travel to Canada and hoping it wont come during the middle of my university terms.
