I'm half way through filling out my sponsorship forms to sponsor my common law partner and our dependant child. The forms as asking for my net income for the last 12 months. Problem is, I'm unable to provide this as I only returned to work in March after having our daughter. I survived on the money my partner earned while I was a stay at home mother. What do I do in this circumstance? Thank you.

write a note explaining your situation.
provide your latest bank a/c statement and obtain a letter of employment from HR and it should ideally state your annual salary.
also provide salary stubs from march onwards.
if HR letter does not mention salary, then state your prorated income on the note based on your 1-2 month salary.
that should be good enough.

Thank you so much for your reply. I was beginning to worry that I would be unable to sponsor because of this reason. Your answer has put my mind at rest. All the best.

Hiya. I was in the same position and was lucky enough to stay at home since my boys were born nearly 3 years ago.
I sent copies of my last P60 and a copy of my maternity leave confirmation from my HR dept. It got tricky for us because I was also made redundant whilst on maternity leave so I sent info about that too!
There is no financial requirements if you are sponsoring your spouse so I would suggest that you supply whatever you can and make reference to it as 'additional information'
