sponsering my wife if she is in canada on a visitor visa

I have a question,
I am a Canadian, and my wife is not. she is coming to Canada to visit me on a visitor visa, can I sponsor her after she arrive to Canada or do I have to wait for her to leave the country then, start with the sponsor ship documents?

You can sponsor her in Canada. But, there are 2 types of sponsorship, inland and outland. Most people should apply outland as it is faster and there is no travel risk. She can apply outland while in Canada, so don't be fooled by the wording on the CIC site.
