My husband and I have been married for 7 years with 2 children(both born in America)! We are applying for him to move and join us in canada as myself and the girls are already here. I have been advised to send in for their proof of citizenship as they are born to a Canadian mother. If that's the case do I need to still put them in the PR application?
How much proof do I need to put in? I have pictures of our lives with each other our marriage our children with our families at gatherings and such. I will put in letters of testimony so from our family's and friends, bank statements and proof we've lived together and owned a home together. Is there anything else I can put in to make it move faster.
We have already been living apart for 1year now while we tried with no success to get him a work visa.
I first apply for sponsorship approval and then his application for permanent residency?
Thank you for any help I just want to hurry this up but get it done as quickly and smoothly as possible!!!

no, they are canadian citizens, therefore they do not need to be sponsored to become pr's.

considering you have kids, own a home together, and have been married for 7 years, i'm pretty sure cic will not be concerned about whether your relationship is real. include pictures of your family. you will be fine.

there really isn't anything to do to "speed up" processing. US applicants are processed in OTTAWA, and currently, Ottawa is approving applicants in 3-6 months. it's currently one of the quicket visa office processing applications. May applicants are receiving approvals right now.

no, both applications go together in the SAME package and are sent to mississauga. Mississauga will check both applications for completeness, process the sponsor's app, then forward the applicant's app to ottawa
