Can anybody please help with this. I and my wife are PR and we had a baby outside of Canada. Fortunately, we were able to get a visa for our baby to facilitate his entry to Canada. Upon arrival to Canada, I will fill out a sponsorship application on my son's behalf. My question is : Is my son eligible for Canada child tax benefit during the processing of his PR application, which is typically two years??? I heard that a child who is not PR is not eligible for CCTB. Correct??
