Sponsering 10 year age Nephew for Schooling

Hello Friends,

I just have become Permanent Resident of Canada. I have my 10 year old nephew who is in India currently in Grad 4. His Parents are also in India. My nephew and his parents are neither Citizen nor Permanent Resident of Canada. However I want to sponser my nephew here in Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan) so that he can continue his study here from Grad 5.

My concern is his parents are not financially that strong and as per Regina Public School policy, my nephew need to pay $ 11, 200 tution fees per annum as an International student, which is very big amount considering his financial position.

Can someone please advise what are the ways I can waive Tution fees for my nephew OR I can sponser him as Permanent Resident ? What is the procedure to adopt him ?

Your nephew cannot be sponsored for PR.

If you want your nephew to study in Canada, then he will have to obtain a study permit and you or his parents will have to be prepared to pay $14K per year for his education in Canada as an international student.

There is no way for you to bring your nephew here to study unless you are prepared to pay the fees.
