Hi,
So I am planning on applying for my PR under CEC as a post-graduate. I completed a 4 years bachelor degree in April 2009. However my work experience is as follows:
Administrative Assistant, NOC 1221, started on May 19th 2009 (I worked for this position on my off-campus work permit while i waited for my post-graduate permit to be approved). I received my permit on June 12 2009 and lost this job on July 21, 2009. So basically i just worked at this position for one month on my post grad work permit.
I searched for a job and took some vacation time from July to August 2009.
From Sept 02, 2009 to Nov 12, 2009 I worked as a receptionist (Cannot count as skilled).
From November 16, 2009 to present I work as a technical clerk but my responsibilities align with NOC 1221. I can request a letter be from my supervisor to support my responsibilities.
In total I'd like to submit my application in September 2010. Can I use my first two months in NOC 1221 as Administrative assistant and the rest 10 months from my current position (technical clerk) to apply under CEC?
Does it matter that the work was split and not continuous?
Does all the experience have to be after I received my post-graduate permit or can it be counted from the time I finished my degree? I have a letter from uni stating exactly after all my grades were received to that I have met all my degree requirements. I ask this question because wen I started work in May 2009 I was waiting for my post-graduate work permit but I had a valid off campus work permit which allowed me to accept the position.
I have made sure all my work and school in Canada has been done legally and have all the required permits as proof in order.
Any kind advise on the above will be appreciated.
Thank-you.
