I'm, a post-grad student, serving my coop term. I planned to get PGWP after graduation (next Jan). Unfortunately, my college is no longer on the eligibility list. Is it possible for me to apply inland if my current company gives me a job offer for specific-work permit? I was told that a contract or job offer would do. But, the CIC website doesn't mention about this. It says apply work permit with job offer and LMIA. Is LMIA mandatory in this case? My permits expires next March.

Does any of you has experience the same kind of situation before? If so, please do share. Also, could you please advise if there's other options for me to go for?

TIA

Yes you would need a approved LMIA in order to apply for a closed work permit. Just a job offer isn't enough.
