Specific Question about the 1-year work requirement

Hi

I have been employed with a company since December 15, 2010 (it's been now over 9 months).

My job counts towards the CEC work requirement. I have always been reporting to the COO only. Because of organizational restructuring, the COO got laid off, and I am about to quit as well. This being said,

1) can I count these 9 months towards my experience for CEC? (and get 3 months experience elsewhere)
2) can the person signing my job description be the ex-COO (that is, a person no longer employed with the company, but who by all means can best describe my responsibilities)?

Hmm... In this case, what would be ideal would be to get a letter from the COO now (if s/he is no longer with the company, I guess s/he can't put it on letterhead anymore), and later, when you're ready to apply, get an updated latter from someone in HR at the company on company letterhead. If you leave your job, you will also be able to get the Record of Employment.

Sadly, the COO has already left. I will give my best to end the relationship in a good tone (honestly, with the new structure and policies, I really don't fit in :( ) so that they help with the paperwork.
