Hi, my partner is an international student and herchild is a special child - he can mobilized himself but non verbal. He is GDD and has mild autism. Please let me know your thoughts. Is it easy to sponsor him while I am on my last year of studies?

Are you an international student as well? Or are you a Canadian citizen or PR? It's not quite clear from your post.

If you are a Canadian citizen or PR, then yes, you can sponsor them. You would sponsor your partner once you are either married or common law and include the child as a dependent in the application. The child may have to go through some additional medicals but cannot be refused for medical reasons / due to excessive demand.

Thank you for this respnd.

My partner is an international student. She's the one who is in canada. Sorry wasn't clear about it. I am her common law partner (who is not yet in Canada), and she will soon declare us as her dependent (Including our special child), once she gets her extension visa very soon, as a international student. Is that possible?

You need to post your question in the International Students section of the forum rather than here.

Unfortunately no one here will be able to give you a guaranteed answer to your question. You haven't said what country you are from or how old the child is. However there is a good chance the child may have to pass a medical in order to come to Canada. It's hard for any of us to say what will happen at the medical stage. You will have to go through the process and see what happens. Good luck.
