Hi toby, i wanted to apply for it, went through the link provided by CIC, looks difficult to get it in a month as Spain authorities send it by regular post. So wanted to know if anyone had applied through lawyers by doing paperwork.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I have no practical experience with Spanish police certificates, but for PCs from countries in Europe a 4-6 weeks turn-around time is pretty normal. I suggest you get cracking and apply for it. The sooner you ask for it the sooner you get it.

At least the Spanish Centro de Atención al Ciudadano seems to accept a wire transfer and does not need a local cheque like these ACPO bozos in the UK. :p

Hi Krishna,

What did you send in this package to Spain?
1) UPS package including form to request certificate
2) copy of your document/ID?
3) prepaid envelope for them to email you back your criminal record certificate
4) anything else?

Hope you read this even though you've received your certificate!

Regards!

Hi swyftdahoe,
in my case, i did not have any Spain issued id, just sent a certified copy of my passport certified by Spain consulate toronto. Package included, form, id, a cover letter, wire transfer receipt from bank and return envelope. Cover letter was pretty basic, "Please issue the pcc for canadian pr" types..

Krishna, thank you so much for the quick response! Just 2 last questions, was the prepaid return envelope a UPS one? Around how much did the package there + the return envelope cost you?

It costed 170$ or so - both to & fro. If you are a Spanish national, you can avoid all these by just visiting consulate or an embassy.

The UPS return envelope is a courier one correct? So did Spain have to send this back via courier (by calling UPS to pickup) or did they just mail it back normally. Do you know?

I suppose I can just ask UPS as well :) Thanks!
