I got an update on the tracker for my spousal open work permit application.

Suddenly Eligibility status changed to in progress from not started while background status was also in progress.

Is it normal ?? It is a sign of a negative result or a positive result?

How long it took it to show up in your status tracker?
For me, it's been 46days since i've submitted mine and i can not see it in my status tracker.

I also submitted an application close to a month ago and it still says background check in progress. At the time of submission the processing time from my location for work permit applications was 2 weeks. When I check now it says "No processing time available". Not sure if the application is progressing

In my point of view any progress is a better indicator than no progress. What are your timelines? When did you submit?

Mine also changed last week, my application was submitted in March.
last week I got the change in eligibility, and upfront medical passed.
what's next?

Very difficult to predict. Mine took 2 weeks after starting eligibility.
