Hey guys. My wife is in India. I got my open work permit in June 2016. Before that when I was student I applied for SOWP Which was rejected and than after getting work permit I applied and again rejected. Now 4th time I applied.

Applied Online:-12th October
Medical Request:- 25th November
Medical done:- 2nd Dec in india

Now waiting. Worried a lot.

M in a same situation

I applied for SOWP on 4th of Oct 2016.
It is paper based application.
processing at VAC Bangalore..
Status - OPEN
Medical - PASSED on 12th November 2016

And I got the reply from them on 15th November 2016 stating :-

Please submit the below mentioned Additional documents.
* Marriage Certificate
* Proof of funds for Me and Spouse

I have no idea why they asked me for this docs, As I had already submited this docs while applyng at vfs...

Now again I submitted the demanded documents on 18th of November at Vfs pune.

Can anyone help like how long it will take now for the Final decision?? And is this normal??
I m realy worried...

i am in same situation , my husband got medical on 25 November, medical done on 1st dec. hope for good, it take 10-15 days for ppr

dont worry it's normal, they ask my husband resume too. Yes it will take more time now

Because the reason y m worried is the procssing time is about to ovr.. this the 9th week which is going..
As per ur knwledge do u think it will take more than the prcssing time ( 10 weeks) only 1 week is remaing to the prccsng time

according to cic it's non- standard application( it doesn't have any processing time) , I mine forgets about processing time,this is cic exact wording.
in my case they took 5 weeks to process the documents, but it's positive sign for you....don't be panic, avoid CSE for 30 days at least..my husband got medical request on 24 nov.
