SOWP Processing times

Hello Everyone,

just wanted to know what the current processing time for SOWP in India is?

I applied for SOWP on Dec,15 2023, Medicals and Biometrics have been completed.

Eligibility requirements not yet started

when I applied the processing time was showing 15 weeks for India now it jumped to 20 weeks. I do not know what IRCC is doing, I have had people previously getting their SOWP in 2 months.

is anyone on the same boat?

Yes similar situation. Applied on 5th December 2023. Biometrics on file from a previous application and medical updated on 19th January.

The processing time increase is pretty insane.

I have filed on nov 24th, biometrics nov 30th. My review hasnt even begun according to the portal.

Nothing. It's extremely disheartening to see the processing time hovering around 20 weeks.

Yeah that sucks, 20 weeks is absurd, please let me know if there's an update

From what I can see, even the SOWP is taking a while (not to mention that the actual spousal sponsorship is taking even longer…). Good luck, hope everyone gets theirs soon!

I don’t know the exact timelines of closed work permit processing right now but I saw that there’s a few cases for closed work permits logged here that you can reference: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-work-permits-tracker

From what I can see from the cases logged, it is taking quite a few months to process right now so maybe not receiving updates from the consultant yet is normal? Good luck!

Nothing yet, processing time infact increased from 19 to 20 weeks again. Even raised a webform

Webform was raised on 12th March, there's still no response on status. The portal still says my application is yet to be reviewed, very frustrating wait.
