Hi I have a question.
I am in Canada on Study permit on a graduate program for 3 more years. My wife applied for a TRV from Turkey.
I was wondering if it is possible for her to apply for spousal open work permit within Canada?
The cic website says:

If you are already in Canada as a visitor, you may not apply within Canada. You must apply for a work permit at a Canadian visa office:
responsible for the country where you live,
responsible for the country you are a citizen of, or
at a Canadian embassy or consulate in the United States of America.
That would mean that she will apply online from CIC for OWP and select Canada. But how are we going to choose NewYork consulate option? (She has USA visitor visa)

ps. She didn't apply for SOWP from Turkey since the average processing time was 6 weeks and we want our kids (US citizens) to start school asap.
