I am writing to inquire about the status of my spouse's Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) and my own work permit extension, which were applied (5 dec) for at the same time. My work permit was originally set to expire in March 2023, but I have recently been informed that I am in a "maintained" situation and not allowed to travel outside of Canada. As I work in the airline industry and need to travel frequently for work, this restriction is causing concern as it may be perceived as a lack of commitment to my job. Is there anything that can be done to expedite the processing of our work permit extension or a document that would allow me to travel outside of Canada during this time? I am unable to wait the 5 months for a response from IRCC as it may jeopardize my job.
