Hi all, I got my BOWP work permit today. If I want to get open work permit for my spouse(SOWP), should I send online(paper) application or is it possible just to go to the border to get one for her? Anybody had the same situation?

If it is possible to go to the border what forms do I need?

Yes If your spouse from VISA exempt country otherwise NO

Anybody knows what documents/forms I need to bring to do that. Is that the same as for online application?

Anybody knows documents and forms needed to get spousal open work permit at the border. I got my BOWP and want to get SOWP for my spouse.

- Passport (duh!)
- Your BOWP
- Proof of relationship. They grilled us quite a bit about that one, because we're common law (if you're too make sure you have IMM5409E with you). It's easier if you're married, but be prepared anyway.
