Submitting my paper application shortly, and relying on my engineering degree (University of Madras) certificate to establish language proof. Have 2 questions -

1. The degree certificate and transcripts are in both English and local language. English was the medium of instruction, and also taught in year 1. However, there is no indication in the degree certificate on medium of instruction. (I know people who were in similar situation and it was accepted)

2. We do not use surnames, and passport has patronymic name (Fathers given name) as surname. However, the degree certificate lists only Given name, and Initial of patronymic name. example, instead of Tom Ford, it says Tom F.

Any insights?

Thanks in advance.

(1) If you have a secondary school certificate or Intermediate certificate which shows Medium of instruction as English then that should work.
Or when you applied for PR and if you have used IELTS (General) for proof of language then you should still be able to use the copy of it rather than using Secondary or any other certificates.

(2) I dont think you will have any issues with your name being printed differently on your certificates when compared with your Immigration documents such as PR card, etc.
