From different forum i have noted that i need to share a study plan for study permit application. They also said i need to submit a letter of explanation on why im applying and how will i manage finds plus any other clarifications i want to share. In other forums, i have also found people submit SOP(statements of purpose) for study permit explaining why they choose thus country, this program and the financing will be.

My question is, What are the differences between SOP(statements of purpose), study plan and Letter of explanation? Are these requofed doc for everyone?

There is no difference. Different names are used because there is no required form or document, you just have the option to attach a letter or statement to bolster your application.

If you simply understand the meaning of all three phrases, you will know all three mean the same !

It’s not a necessity but it simply bolsters your application (just like primaprime said)

Things a SOP covers- your background, qualification (pastbeducation), past work experience, why are you choosing Canada (& why not study in your home country), will you leave Canada after completing your course, job opportunities in your home country in your applied field, what are your career aspirations & objectives, a crux for financials

Basically you gotta convince the Visa Officer that you are a genuine student & you will oblige with their country’s immigration rules & regulations.

Research more & all your doubts shall be cleared

The SOP is the first letter you write when you are applying for a study permit which states all your plans that the Visa Officer should know so that he/she will grant you the study permit to study in Canada. Now when you are refused the study permit the reasons for the refusal are written to you so that when re-applying you explain in detail the reasons for the refusal to the visa Officer why you should be considered again for the study permit that is what we called Letter of Explanation.

You don't need any of that to apply for a study permit. Your permit won't be refused because you did not submit one.

Thanks that's quite a clear suggestion
