SOP preparation for those who have been refused a visa in some other country.

Hello,
I have been refused UK EEA family visa and now i have applied for canada student visa. Should i mention this in the SOP?? Do i have to mention only that i have been refused UK visa or i have to give that i have been refused UK EEA family visa?

You need to mention you have been refused the UK EEA family visa or you risk being sanctioned for misrepresentation

Thank you so much for such a good and instant advice..i have mentioned that i have been refused UK EEA family permit visa in both the SOP and visa application form but i have not mentioned how many times and years..
