Hello house I have a bit of a problem. I'm an international medical graduate that got a training Job in Canada. The work permit for me and my wife has been approved but our son's temporary visa is pending. On the same day June 19th when got our approval and passport request, our 2 year old son's birth certificate was requested by IRCC as an additional document. We uploaded same day. Up till now there his profile shows 'under processing ". Considering that I'm a skilled worker with a job that has a fixed resumption date (August 1) ,is it possible that her processing can be faster? We can't travel and leave our daughter behind. I have sent a webform and attached a letter showing my resumption date.
Pls I need advice. I'm getting scared.

There is no formal expedite process for applications. The most you can do is send the webform which you've already done. If your daughter's visa isn't approved in time, you may have to consider traveling ahead of the rest of your family and then having them follow. But hopefully it won't come to that.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate

If the training job is a fellowship so assume you have looked into the fact that a fellowships doesn’t allow you to easily get licensed as an IMG in Canada. It can sound counterintuitive but you can work as a fellow for a year in Canada but once you finish your fellowship have to repeat your residency to work in Canada unless you have done your medical training one of the following countries: UK, US, Ireland, South Africa, Taiwan, Switzerland, NZ, HK, Australia (think I got them all). Fellowship for IMGs is primarily to spread medical knowledge and skills for IMGs to take back to their home countries which is why fellowship isn’t a pathway to work in Canada as an IMG.
