Hi everyone,

I have few questions regarding Super Visa - I appreciate feedback on any of the questions below:

1- Is there an officer guide manual posted on CIC specific for super visa like there is to other applications?

2- Is there any reason that is better than the other for a visiting mother-in-law or parent? (I am married - I and my spouse want to invite her over) For example, would an officer favor a wedding invitation as a stronger reason for Super Visa over a simple visit to meet family?

3- Can the reason of trip be a medical one?

4- Are there any statistics on Super Visa which shows why they were issued? (e.g. visiting family, visiting for wedding party, visiting for medical reasons?)

5- Are there any statistics on Super Visa which show which countries had the most success in getting the Visa?

6- Is it necessary to obtain feedback from immigration agencies when applying for Super Visa? or really there is no significant benefit to that?

7- Must the visa applicant have a passport valid for 10 years for him or her to be able to get a 10 year visa? e.g. would a passport with validity of
two years get only a two year visa without chance to extend?

8- Must one enter at exact time that is mentioned on application after a Visa is issued or can they wait and enter one year later?

9- Do financials get re-evaluated if applicant is given visa this year but enters Canada next year?

10- Is $41,000 net income for a husband and wife ($20,000 wife and $21,000 husband) enough to invite one parent over Super Visa?

Thanks,

NO http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/types/supervisa.asp

2- Is there any reason that is better than the other for a visiting mother-in-law or parent? (I am married - I and my spouse want to invite her over) For example, would an officer favor a wedding invitation as a stronger reason for Super Visa over a simple visit to meet family?

No Simple visiting is fine.

3- Can the reason of trip be a medical one?

Not a good idea she would have to pass a medical prior to the visa being issued anyway.

4- Are there any statistics on Super Visa which shows why they were issued? (e.g. visiting family, visiting for wedding party, visiting for medical reasons?)

No

5- Are there any statistics on Super Visa which show which countries had the most success in getting the Visa?

No

6- Is it necessary to obtain feedback from immigration agencies when applying for Super Visa? or really there is no significant benefit to that?

Why, most people apply on their own

7- Must the visa applicant have a passport valid for 10 years for him or her to be able to get a 10 year visa? e.g. would a passport with validity of
two years get only a two year visa without chance to extend?

TVR will only be issued to the expiry of the passport less 1 month.

8- Must one enter at exact time that is mentioned on application after a Visa is issued or can they wait and enter one year later?

Before TRV expires.

9- Do financials get re-evaluated if applicant is given visa this year but enters Canada next year?

No

10- Is $41,000 net income for a husband and wife ($20,000 wife and $21,000 husband) enough to invite one parent over Super Visa?

Yes, if you don't have any kids see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5256ETOC.asp#incometables

Thanks,

PMM, thanks for the info.

1- I believe the manuals were much more detailed in .pdf format previously. Is this all there is on Super Visa? Would the rest of guides fall under regular visa instructions?

2- How is the medical for Super Visa different from a PR visa? so long as you didn't have a communicative disease you would pass medical. Isn't that the same with Super Visa medical? Is it more strict?

3- Does $10k over LICO limit make a case in your favor? or once LICO is met an officer doesn't care? My wife can apply alone or I can be part of the application if it makes it stronger.

4- What are some paper-work that the applicant can show that is proven to work? (We'd rather not provide A LOT or TOO LITTLE)

Thanks,

Hello,

I have a question regarding my parents' super visa. They applied to New Delhi VAC on July 18th 2014 i.e. today.
In the VISA application they have mentioned their date of coming to Canada as 15 Aug 2014.

The VAC representative checked all the documents and was happy that all are in place but she also told my parents that the supervisa processing time is 8 weeks and the date 15th Aug 2014 is not even 4 weeks away. She suggested my parents to write an email to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca requesting the immigration/visa officer to grant visa before 15th Aug 2014.

It is me who actually helped my parents gather & and fill all documents/forms after taking help from forums on CanadaVisa.com and before applying i even checked for the processing time for TRV -Supervisa on www.cic.gc.ca which is just 9 days for New Delhi. Please refer http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/visitors.asp#asia

But she also accepted the VISA application.

Please let me know:

1. Should my parents actually write email as suggested by the VAC representative?
2. If they write or do not write email, in such circumstances can the VISA officer reject/refuse the VISA or he will grant the visa for a later date (provided all other conditions are met)?

Your replies would be much appreciated.

Please suggest.

Thanks,
ASJ
