Hello Members,

Q1) Do we need to fill form on computer itself and take printout or we can print the blank form and fill in the details?
Q2) In the Address section, it asks Street Type and delivery mode, what are these? It shows asterisk mark on it and hence I feel that it should be mandatory to fill.
Q3) in Part D it asks current occupation (which is 2132 Mechanical engg) and then it asks which field I intend to work, I am going to enter again as 2132, but since it is regulated do I need license before applying itself?
Q4) In the same section part 3 which is personal and Work History, what should we enter in NOC code for time when we were unemployed and studying.
Q5) In section F i.e. Intention to reside in ON, can we enter distant uncle details as relative. I don’t require any points out of it but just to show social connection?
Q6) For document check list, offshore applicants are not required to have their universities to send the transcripts to OINP right? Because it states “Original transcripts in a sealed envelope from educational institution (Canda programs/degrees only)”

Your help is highly appreciated.
Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Hello Members,

Q1) Do we need to fill form on computer itself and take printout or we can print the blank form and fill in the details?
A1) You can do either...but its better to fill on computer (IMO) as it will help prevent you to skip certain mandatory fields and fill out (by hand) blanks that are either not fillable by computer or 'N/A'.
Q2) In the Address section, it asks Street Type and delivery mode, what are these? It shows asterisk mark on it and hence I feel that it should be mandatory to fill.
A2) Yes, some fields are mandatory, so it won't allow you to go forward (on computer) unless you fill them. There is no 'Delivery Type', you must have clicked on 'Print application Form' button on top right corner thats why it shows you 'delivery mode', click the blue button 'Back to Application Form' at the top middle part of the page and 'delivery mode' will vanish. Under 'Street type' you can say e.g. main highway or rind road or just road etc.
Q3) in Part D it asks current occupation (which is 2132 Mechanical engg) and then it asks which field I intend to work, I am going to enter again as 2132, but since it is regulated do I need license before applying itself?
A3) License is for those who are already working in Canada in the specified profession (NOC) and not for outsiders, but it won't hurt if you have one, provided you can and i thinks its not so easy although not impossible.
Q4) In the same section part 3 which is personal and Work History, what should we enter in NOC code for time when we were unemployed and studying.
A4) 'N/A' (with hand after printout, since that field won't allow you a text as its a numeric field for NOC. Yes, i know what you may be thinking, that OINP folks haven't given too much thought while designing the Application Form and you are right.
Q5) In section F i.e. Intention to reside in ON, can we enter distant uncle details as relative. I don’t require any points out of it but just to show social connection?
A5) Yes, you can do that and add an LoE as well if you like.
Q6) For document check list, offshore applicants are not required to have their universities to send the transcripts to OINP right? Because it states “Original transcripts in a sealed envelope from educational institution (Canda programs/degrees only)”
A6) You are right, only ECAs
