My wife and I have been married for 5 years and have been living together in Thailand. We eventually plan to apply for a PR but would like to try a TRV first.
We have a few friends that have visited over the years and have met my wife. I assume they should write invitation letters. Do those invitation letters need to be notarized? Should they be mailed to my wife or the embassy? Should they include a T4, business card, or housing contract?
My wife's ties to Thailand are
1. 2 children from a previous relationship
2. an aging father in his 90's
3. a couple of motorcycles
4. bank statements with her name on them with very little money but steady income (my salary from my jobs)
5. A letter from her employer who works for the Australian Embassy (my wife is their housekeeper)
Should we apply for a multiple or single?
I know we have a lot going against us because I plan on staying and working in Canada so I can't provide evidence that I will be coming back.
