Dear all,

Please let us know
As i understand my spouse should take the IELTS too and that will add some points to our CRS.

1) my spouse is on implied work permit status can she apply for open work permit and work still?
2) if i go via PNP route - should i focus only on Ontatio, Alberta and BC? - because i don't intend to stay & work in other provinces.
3) what is the ask if i get a PR through a PNP - do i have an obligation towards that province? if so - how long?
4) via Express entry or via PNP what timelines can me & my spouse think to get processing done - we have a work permit until 1st July'16? Also going by the work permit how long can we stay in Canada and when is the earliest i can start searching for new job - please help me on this one - i'm really confused.

Thanks Again,

1.- That's depends. Are you a NOC 0/A/B temporary worker or a Student (or perhaps a Post Graduate, I'm not sure about this case) with a valid WP?

If you are then you wife can apply for a SOWP.

Why your wife is in Implicit Status?

2.- Honestly you should do it.

3.- Yes, I don't know for how long.
You can get PNP for a province an go to other but could be some chances to have problems (I don't know any case like that but could be possible)

4.- PNP is usually slower but with 424 points (or a bit more with your wife test) it's your best option to get a Ontario invitation trough EE.

for PNP processing times and information better check PNP forum.

Regular EE could take 3-5 months if everything is OK.

Before your WP expires you should apply for a OWP based in your PR application, but will be issued ONLY if Eligibility was passed.

If your EE application get Eligibility passed before the end of your WP just apply as soon you know it.

So better option could be apply online a week before WP expiration, you'll have 2-3 months until VO start to process your OWP application and hopefully you'll get Eligibility passed by then.

After apply to OWP you're in Implicit Status until decision.

If OWP is rejected (could be even for a mistake filling forms, paying fees or something else), and COPR wasn't received you should apply for Status Restoration that could be negative as well resulting in the need to leave Canada.

If you want to be protected of a OWP refusal, could be safer to apply for visitor status before you get OWP decision.

OWP are usually granted for a year.
You can still working when in Implicit Status
If you apply for OWP based on your PR application, you can apply simultaneously for a SOWP for you wife.

You have WP until July 2016, but your wife is in Implicit Status already?

What kind of WP do you have?, no LMIA I guess
