good day to all! i wish some members could help us with our status while completing our application for family sponsorship...

here is the scenario:

my husband has a PR status in Canada particulary in Alberta, and I am here in the Philippines with my daughter. We just got married last January of this year. He landed Dec. of 2007, and on January of 2008, he started with his job and ended on July 31, 2009. His employer decided to remove all the full-time employee on that particular establishment, since his status was a full-time employee, sad to say he has been removed from his job.

after 2 weeks, he has been hospitalized due to low blood and he has to go to the hospital 3x a week for his check-up. I know that my husband could'nt sponsor us because of his situation right now. After he will be clear from the hospital, he will try to find a job again.

If ever he can find the job, can we go on again with our application for family sponsorship? Or do we need to wait for him to stay with his job for 12 months before we can start the application again? It's really confusing for us... I hope some of u guys could help us on how are we going to deal with our status as of this moment.

Thanks in advance.... God Bless Us All!!!

Pre-Assessed..
He doesn't need to show income to sponsor a wife and wifes kids. He can sponsor you right now if you want to do it. It will probably take 6-7 months to complete the sponsorship so by the time you and your daughter can go to Canada, he will probably have a new job already.

hi Leon, thanks for the quick reply on my post... =) I appreciate it alot... =)

My husband applied for Employment Insurance 3 weeks ago and he received the first check last Monday (aug.31). Since he is receiving the EI for now because has no work, can we still pass our application too?
Will it (EI) affect our applications?

EI will not affect your application because it's not social assistance. He's paid into it so it's more like insurance. If he was on welfare, he would not be able to sponsor you.
