I have been in Alberta now for almost 8 months. I have worked as a maintenance worker and just recently transferred to a front desk agent as I was hoping I would be able to apply for the Alberta PNP program with the occupation but I didn't realize I needed 3 years experience related to the hotel and lodging industry. Can you give me some clarifications on what is related? I have lots of experience in the hospitality field (bar work, restaurants etc) as well as 7 months hotel maintenance and 1 month front desk clerk.
I am willing to relocate to other provinces if their PNP programs are easier to satisfy but I realize they require you to have lived there for 6-9 months prior to applying. As I have 16 months left on my visa I have the option to move and work towards satisfying those requirements but would need to make sure I have made the right decision in which province to move too.
Please advise in any way possible as I really want to settle in Canada and while my preference is to do it in Alberta I understand it may not be possible and will look at all alternatives, such as relocating and looking at alternative jobs that meet PNP requirements for semi skilled workers such as Food and Beverage server (I do have some experience in that work)
Thank you
