Hi,
I am both a New Zealand and American citizen. I am a sole trader in NZ, but 90% of my business is with one company in Canada. I'd like to spend a few months a year in Canada, and carry on business as usual, but clearly this could be considered working in Canada, so I can't really enter as a tourist.
I'm a software developer (no engineering degree), so I don't exactly fit into the NAFTA professionals list.
It should be noted that little changes for me work wise based on my physical presence. I may occasionally meet for a beer, or a once in a blue moon planning meeting, but otherwise it's BAU.
I'm looking for the best way to enter on a fairly temporary basis somewhat regularly. Let's say no more than 4-6 months each year, without actually having to immigrate.
Could I be considered a business visitor? Or do I need to look at longer term solutions?
Thanks!
